Each player gets two private hole cards. Five community cards are dealt face-up in the middle, shared by everyone. You make the best five-card hand from any combination of your two cards and the five on the board.
Pre-flop (after hole cards) · Flop (first 3 community cards) · Turn (4th card) · River (5th card). On each round you may fold, check/call, or bet/raise. Blinds ($1 small, $2 big) seed the pot and rotate each hand.
Straight flush · Four of a kind · Full house · Flush · Straight · Three of a kind · Two pair · One pair · High card.
On every decision the coach shows your current best hand, your win equity (estimated by simulating the rest of the board many times against random opponent hands), the pot odds you're being offered, and whether calling is mathematically profitable. Equity vs the price you pay is the heart of winning poker.
