Craps in plain English

One player (the "shooter") rolls two dice. Everyone bets on the outcome. There are two phases:

1 · The come-out roll

The round starts with a come-out roll (puck OFF). If you're on the Pass Line:

• 7 or 11 → Pass wins. 🎉
• 2, 3, or 12 ("craps") → Pass loses.
• 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10 → that number becomes the Point. Puck flips ON.

2 · The point

Now the shooter rolls until one of two things happens:

• The point repeats → Pass wins. 🎉
• A 7 rolls first ("seven-out") → Pass loses, and a new come-out begins.

The one bet the casino hates

Once a point is set, you can put Odds behind your Pass Line bet. Odds pay true odds with a 0% house edge — the only fair bet in the casino. Always take odds.

What to avoid

The flashy center bets (Any 7, Hardways, 2/3/11/12) pay big but carry house edges of 9–17%. Fun once in a while, brutal over time. The coach flags them.

Managing your bets

Press a bet by clicking it again (adds another chip). Take a bet down with the − button on a number, or right-click any bet to refund it (contract bets like Pass stay once a point is set). When a Come or Don't Come bet lands on a number, tap its +odds button to back it with free, 0%-edge Odds.
